Ingredients
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 whole fresh tomato—quartered
- 2 whole jalapeño peppers—seeded and sliced
- 1 whole fresh specialty pepper—optional
- 3 whole green chiles
- 1 whole red onion—quartered
- 1 clove fresh garlic—minced
- 1/2 whole lime—juiced
- 4 1/2 sprigs fresh cilantro
- 1 splash olive oil
- 1 pinch salt and white pepper
- 1 pinch cumin—optional
- 1 teaspoon oregano, fresh—chopped
Directions
Drain canned tomatoes (reserve juice). Coarsely dice: fresh tomato, red onion, peppers and green chilies.
Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Process to desired consistency.
