Kids love animals, and they love to use their imaginations for playing and creating things. Help them make a cat out of household items.
Here’s what you'll need...
• Chinet® Classic WhiteTM dinner plate
• Paint
• Construction paper
• 6 pipe cleaners
• Marker
• Scissors
• Glue
• Googly eyes (optional)
• Hole punch (optional)
Here's how you make it...
1. Paint the paper plate whatever color you want your cat’s fur to be.
2. Cut out all of your shapes from construction paper that matches the color of paint you chose. You will need 2 large and 2 small triangles for the ears and 1 triangle nose.
3. Glue the small triangles onto the large to make the ears. Glue them onto the edge of the plate. Glue the triangle nose onto the center of the plate, and then glue on the googly eyes (or use a marker to draw them on). Don’t forget to draw on your cat’s mouth!
4. Make holes in the plate on either side of the nose with a scissors. Thread the pipe cleaners through the holes to represent whiskers.
