We love artichokes, not only for their taste, but for their beauty, too. They look stunning on the table. Here's a super-easy baking alternative to normal boiling or steaming methods. We love them alone, but you can add a dipping sauce for extra flavor.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. After washing each artichoke, trim off any sharp leaf edges with scissors, then cut off the top. Place the artichokes on a sheet of foil. Squeeze fresh lemon juice into the leaves, and tuck fresh garlic between them.
Drizzle 2 tablespoons of chicken broth into the leaves (optional) and season with salt. Wrap the foil tightly around each artichoke to keep them from drying out.
Place in a baking pan and bake at 425 degrees F for 90 minutes.
