Holiday Bacon

You don’t have to be a gourmet chef to make a holiday dish everyone will be talking about. This dressed-up bacon is perfect for throwing in the oven on Christmas morning while you open gifts. Prep the rub the night before to cut prep time in half.

1 lb. thick-cut bacon
6 tbsps. brown sugar
1 tsp. cayenne
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  3. Sprinkle 3 tbsps. brown sugar over the bacon.
  4. Sprinkle on the red pepper flakes, cayenne, and black pepper.
  5. Sprinkle the rest of the brown sugar on top. Pat down until each slice is coated on one side.
  6. Bake for 20 – 30 minutes or until it reaches your desired level of crispiness. Serve warm & enjoy.
