Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos

Slow-cooker recipes are perfect for busy weeknights. Five minutes and a few ingredients are all it takes to prep these delicious chicken tacos. 


2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 packet taco seasoning mix

1 (16 oz.) jar salsa

⅓ cup chopped cilantro

Juice from 2 limes

Optional toppings:

Diced tomato

Shredded lettuce


Shredded cheese

Sour cream


1.    Place chicken breasts in slow cooker and sprinkle taco seasoning over the top. Top with salsa, lime juice, and cilantro. Cover with lid and cook for 4 hours on high, or 6-7 hours on low.

2.    Remove chicken from crockpot to a separate bowl and shred with two forks. Moisten chicken with small amounts of juice left over from the crockpot.

3.    Serve with taco shells or tortillas. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!
