I don’t know what’s happening here in Dallas, but this spring I am hosting a ridiculous amount of baby showers! Each mother has a unique personality and style, so I’d really like to personalize the showers for each mother and baby on the way. I really don’t want to break the bank hosting these showers, so I’ve been experimenting with party decoration ideas that come from every day, affordable items, like this Chinet® paper plate backdrop.
I love that this backdrop is easy to create (and hang) and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that it can be adapted to any color or design. And the best part, it’s an incredibly inexpensive way to decorate a large area. The plates can take up a whole wall, helping to frame your dessert table perfectly. You can hang six plates or thirty-six plates, depending on the size of your space! It’s a perfect way to bring contrast and dimension to the party display. Read below to see how I made them.
What You Will Need:
Paint the Chinet Classic White plates with your acrylic paint and sponge brush—I painted on two layers. Let dry. Hang the plate behind your dessert table with duct tape.
What about you?! Do you have any budget-friendly baby shower decoration ideas? We would love to hear them. Share your hosting tips and tricks on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using #MyChinetParty.
