Shorter days, crisp evenings and pumpkins are just a few signals that fall is on its way! There are so many things I love about this time of year: the leaves changing, football games, cooler weather and, of course, all things pumpkin! As fall approaches it also signals that the holiday season for feasting, sharing, entertaining and indulging is upon us – it's time for eating, drinking and being merry. Of course, nothing warms the soul more than a warm drink on a brisk autumn morning, especially when it's a delicious caramel pumpkin spice latte.
I'm telling you, nothing beats waking up on a chilly morning and savoring a steamy caramel pumpkin spice latte topped with piles of whipped cream. If you are a pumpkin fanatic like me, you could indulge in one of these every. single. day. But, let's face it, that can get expensive. Skip the drive-thru and save some money by creating your own caramel pumpkin spice latte at home.
Step 1: In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, bring the pumpkin, honey and pumpkin pie spice to a low simmer. Slowly whisk in milk and vanilla, bring the mixture to a low simmer, then remove from heat.
Step 2: Transfer the milk mixture to a blender or food processor and pulse several times until the mixture is foamy and frothy.
Step 3: Divide the hot coffee between 3 Comfort Cup by Chinet insulated to-go cups. Pour the hot pumpkin milk mixture over the coffee in each cup.
Step 4: Pile whipped cream on top of the hot coffee, drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with cinnamon. Ready, sip, go!
I love that I can take my delicious caramel pumpkin spice latte with me on the go in the stylish Comfort Cup by Chinet. They are perfect for those crisp autumn mornings where we have to be out at the soccer field bright and early.
I'm a big fan of pumpkin spice everything this time of year and since I'll be sipping lots of these caramel pumpkin spice lattes this season, I thought it was only fitting to create my own custom, DIY leather fall coffee sleeves. My morning cup of joe never looked so good! These would also make great gifts for your coffee-loving, pumpkin-obsessed friends, too!
