#MyChinetParty: Celebrate National Pumpkin Day

It’s pretty much a fact that pumpkins are the best fall has to offer. We’re among those with a pumpkin spice latte in hand the second we see the first leaf drop. So of course, we plan to celebrate the mighty pumpkin on October 26th—National Pumpkin Day.

How does one celebrate National Pumpkin Day? Basically, all the pumpkin activities. We’re talking pumpkin carving, pumpkin painting, eating pumpkin, drinking pumpkin—you get the idea. Here are a few of our favorite easy ways to have fun with pumpkins.

Rise & Shine
What’s better than being able to walk out the door in the morning with a pumpkin spice latte? Nothing, absolutely nothing. We love this recipe for a homemade PSL because it uses real pumpkin and you can even make it dairy free if you choose. Take it to-go in a Comfort Cup® by Chinet® insulated hot cup.

But First, Brunch
Who doesn’t love a good brunch? Add pumpkin to the mix and, well, we wonder why we don’t eat this way all day long. These breakfast ideas are so good you may just have to make both. Go ahead, we won’t judge.

Carve Out Time to Indulge
Pumpkins have a natural sweetness, so it’s no wonder they’re used frequently in fall desserts. Canned pumpkin has a creamy consistency, so using it in desserts results in treats that are light, fluffy, and truly decadent. Here are a few favorites to try.

Gorgeous Gourds
Not only are pumpkins delicious, they also make beautiful decorative objects. Seriously, it’s not fall until you’ve got at least one pretty pumpkin on display. Carve a jack-o-lantern or use one of these other fun ideas for making pumpkins the star of your tablescape.
