Spring has sprung here in Texas and I’ve started thinking ahead to Easter! Now that I live near family (my sister…yay!), I am planning a full-blown Easter dinner and Easter egg hunt for the cousins - one with lots of fresh flowers, sweet treats and traditional spread of ham, potatoes and salad.
Before I plan any dinner party, I like to choose a color scheme. This year, I plan on decorating with sweet pastels: pinks, yellows, blues and mint greens like the colors below.
Because there will be LOTS of children at this Easter dinner party, and because I love a quick cleanup, I’ll be using Chinet® Cut Crystal® dinner and dessert plates for my Easter table. I love the more formal feel and find that when paired with an adorable charger, they look even more elegant.
I plan on decorating the table with LOTS of fresh spring flowers: tulips, hydrangeas and hyacinth. I find that layering the flowers in unique sized vases and vessels helps bring height to the table, and brings out my desired color scheme.
Although I plan on serving dinner, I like to decorate my Easter table with spring desserts and sweets. Guests typically LOVE seeing the treats that await them and they look so fantastic on a table. I will be serving a coconut layered cake, vanilla bean cupcakes and angel food cake ‘egg nests’.
