Holiday Gift Wrapping Party

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but it can also be the busiest, most stressful time of year as well! This holiday season, turn a boring task into a fun holiday party with friends. Stop wrapping presents alone and host a holiday gift wrapping party.

During the holidays, there are so many things to do. There are gifts to buy, parties to attend and presents to wrap. Why not combine two of these for the ultimate way to catch up with friends and check things off your holiday to-do list?

The key to a successful holiday gift wrapping party is to make sure you set the date far enough in advance. You want your guests to have plenty of time to shop, but you don’t want to wait until you are so deep into the holiday season that it’s difficult to coordinate schedules. Once you have a date, send out invitations and make sure you provide all of the details of what you expect your guests to bring. For example, you may want to ask that each guest bring 2 rolls of wrapping paper and a pair of scissors.  

Before the party, create a festive gift wrap station with all of the supplies your guests will need to make their packages pretty. I used my beautiful charcoal buffalo check sign from Grey Dot Co as the backdrop and focal point of my gift wrap station— I love how it makes it look festive without a lot of effort. Fill containers up with scissors, tape, ribbon, tissue paper, boxes, tags and any other necessities on your gift wrap station. I like to use Chinet Crystal^® 9oz cups to keep the smaller items, like the tags, contained. 

At this holiday party, simplicity is key. A simple, yet well-stocked bar cart is the perfect way to welcome guests. Provide easy treats like cookies or mini store-bought desserts and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for guests to sip on while they mingle.
