Christmas Tree Danish

The Christmas Tree Danish is the ideal Christmas morning breakfast treat that can be whipped up in a flash. Prep and store in the refrigerator overnight and be oven-ready on Christmas morning.

2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 can cherry pie filling
2/3 cup sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
For the glaze
1/3 cup powdered sugar
2 tsp. milk
  1. Whisk powdered sugar and milk until thick and smooth. Set aside.
  2. Open the packages of crescent rolls, but do not separate them. Using a serrated knife, slice both rolls of dough into 11 equal pieces each.
  3. Arrange the slices into the shape of a Christmas tree. Gently indent the middle of each slice to create a well for the cream cheese.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla.
  5. Place a small spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each slice. Top each slice with a spoonful of cherry pie filling. You do not need to use the entire can.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes.
  7. Let cool and drizzle with the glaze.
