The Christmas Tree Danish is the ideal Christmas morning breakfast treat that can be whipped up in a flash. Prep and store in the refrigerator overnight and be oven-ready on Christmas morning.
Whisk powdered sugar and milk until thick and smooth. Set aside.
Open the packages of crescent rolls, but do not separate them. Using a serrated knife, slice both rolls of dough into 11 equal pieces each.
Arrange the slices into the shape of a Christmas tree. Gently indent the middle of each slice to create a well for the cream cheese.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla.
Place a small spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each slice. Top each slice with a spoonful of cherry pie filling. You do not need to use the entire can.
