Glitter Easter Egg Decorating

Gather inspiration for your Easter egg decorating party with a glitter egg DIY

Spring is in the air, and the Easter Bunny will be hopping into town soon!

One of my favorite Easter traditions is egg decorating. I’m a big fan of the traditional pastel-dyed eggs (they are hard to beat!), but this year I wanted to mix it up and try another decorating style as well: glitter eggs!

And oh, my goodness—they turned out amazing!

Egg decorating can get a little messy, but thanks to Chinet Crystal® 9 oz. cups and super-sturdy Chinet Classic® platters, the mess stayed mostly contained.

How to Make Glitter Easter Eggs:

  1. Squirt a thin layer of glue into the bottom of a Chinet Crystal® 9 oz. cup.
  2. Drop your hard-boiled egg into the cup and drizzle with more glue.
  3. Using a plastic spoon from Chinet Crystal® cutlery, gently turn your egg over a few times to completely coat it with glue.
  4. Pour a good amount of glitter over your glue-covered egg. Using the same spoon, gently turn it over in the cup, and pour even more glitter on top—you can never have too much glitter!
  5. Once the egg is fully covered in glitter, use your spoon to gently remove it from the cup and place on your Chinet Classic® platter to dry.

Look at that glitter egg!

For the traditional dyed Easter eggs, simply fill a Chinet Crystal® 9 oz. cup with hot water. Add 1 teaspoon white vinegar and the food coloring of your choice. Let your hard-boiled egg soak in the dye for 5 minutes, and then use a plastic spoon to transfer it to your platter to dry.

I love the look of both the pastel-dyed eggs and the glitter eggs, but I think glitter stole the show this year! They are just SO pretty.

Having the disposable Chinet Classic® platters at each place setting was such an easy way to host an Easter egg decorating party—plenty of space to work on, sturdy enough for spills and best of all, easy to clean up.

With all the creative energy that was spent on decorating eggs, some tasty Easter treats were also a necessity!

These crispy robin’s egg nests are easy and cute for any Easter party. Check out our Crispy Robin’s Egg Nests Recipe!

Another fun Easter party treat I tried this year are Marbled Easter egg cakes. These are easier than they look and such a crowd pleaser!

Well, there you have it! All you need to create the perfect Easter egg decorating party. And the best part about this party was how easy the cleanup was thanks to Chinet Crystal® disposable products!

Try your hand at glitter Easter eggs this season and maybe a treat or two to enjoy, as well. Happy Easter!
