Halloween Party Ideas

Halloween is getting more and more fun as my kids are getting older. When it comes to entertaining, I definitely lean more toward the sweet and not-too-scary side of Halloween. This year, I wanted to put together a few easy ideas that would be cute at any Halloween party.

Whether you are entertaining a large group or just your family, one or all of these ideas should work for you! I like to stick to a simple color scheme when I entertain. Sticking to two or three colors will make your event look clean and cohesive – I opted for the black and white look with pops of orange for this party.

For a fun drink that kids will love, draw jack-o-lantern faces on clear Chinet Crystal® cups with a black permanent marker. Fill the cups with an orange sports drink or orange soda and garnish with green paper straws.

Create a “pumpkin” cheese and crackers tray to satisfy hungry snackers.  Fill a large Chinet Classic® dinner plate with orange cheddar cheese squares. Add some pretzel sticks for the pumpkin stem, and serve with crackers and pretzels (and plenty of Chinet Classic® appetizer plates). Simple, cute and yummy!

These homemade orange pumpkin cupcakes with pretzel stick stems are easy to recreate. Start with a box of pumpkin or spice cake mix and bake a dozen cupcakes.

Then, add yellow and red food coloring to store-bought cream cheese frosting and mix until you have the color you desire. Lastly, pipe the frosting onto the cooled cupcakes and add a pretzel stick stem.

I just love these ghost napkin and cutlery rolls. They are such a cute way to display cutlery for guests on Halloween.

Simply open a Chinet Classic® napkin lengthwise so that it is longer top to bottom than it is left to right. Lay your Chinet Crystal® cutlery (I only used a spoon and fork in each) on the napkin so that the top of it touches the napkin seam. Fold over the top half of the opened napkin onto the bottom half and bunch just below the cutlery heads. Tie some twine or ribbon around the napkin roll to make a ghost head and add a ghost face with black marker.
